HddSurgery™ Sea 3.5" Helium P10 Ramp Set Type I represents a set of head replacement tools which can be used to safely and easily replace heads on the Seagate Helium filled 3.5" hard drives with 10 platters which “park their read/write heads” on a ramp and have holes on the HSA for the tool shaft and locking pin (see featured image)*

Set contains one pair of head replacement tools: Sea 3,5" Helium P10 Ramp Type I
These head replacement tools are used to ensure that the heads do not touch each other or magnetic platters in process of head replacement and to enable their easy mounting back to the ramp.
* To determine which tool you need for your Seagate helium hard drive with 10 platters, it is important to note that these models may come with two different HSA hole configurations.
To correctly identify the appropriate tool, open the drive and inspect the hole pattern on the HSA.
If the HSA has holes for both the tool shaft and the securing pin, the appropriate tool is the Sea 3.5" Helium P10 Type I (example, ST18000NE000)
If only the hole for the tool shaft is present on the HSA, the appropriate tool is the Sea 3.5" Helium P10 Ramp Set Type II (example, ST16000DM001)
These tools don't solve the head compatibility problem. They will only assure that the process of head replacement goes easily on supported drives.
